Is “Like” a constant state? Sometimes, whether we like something may depend on the surroundings, the company we are keeping, or our sobriety/lack of, or simply ‘going with the flow’. A drink or type of food which we enjoy whilst on holiday may not seem so great when we’re back home, due to a number of factors: climate, surroundings, general mood. Conversely, something which may seem quite unremarkable at home may be the latest craze in the Far East. Something which few admit to liking, can gather momentum and snowball into a great phenomenon at a later time. As a writer or musician, you have to balance what you like, with what your audience will like, in the process working out just who your audience is.

Heard this track on Wired.com, article about Moog synths:
One last Partridge quote … (probably)
“Quick digression for the AV nerds out there. I absolutely insisted on presenting with a Sennheiser 152 G2 Headset microphone. If any of you are in the market for a headset mic – aerobic instructors, business leaders, the people at the market who sell chipped crockery – let me give you a piece of solid gold advice. This is the Piat d’Or of headset mics. Used by the likes of Mr Motivator and – weirdly – Terry Nutkins, the Sennheiser is the official headmic for both product demonstrators at the Ideal Home Exhibition and Gabrielle…….I would also advise you to avoid wearing a head mic on one side of your head and a Bluetooth mobile phone headset on the other. I learned that the hard way when my ex-wife called during a North Norfolk Digital fun day. The call – in this case some pretty dark swearing – vibrates through your head and can be picked up on mic”
